The short version
We store your email, your saved trips, and your price alerts. That is the whole list. We never see and never store card details — bookings happen on partner sites, not here.
What we collect
- Email address — only if you create an account (needed for sign-in and price alerts).
- Saved trips — destinations you bookmark, with the search context (origin, budget, travelers) so links stay correct.
- Price alerts — the origin, budget and trip types you ask us to watch.
- Search parameters — anonymized search queries used to keep the destination cache warm and improve ranking.
- Guest favorites — if you never sign in, your saved trips stay in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.
What we never collect
No card or payment details. No passport or document uploads. No third-party tracking pixels. No selling of data — there is nobody to sell it to and we would not.
Where your data lives
Account data is stored in a Supabase (Postgres) database in the EU, protected by row-level security: every saved trip and alert is readable only by the account that created it. Passwords are hashed by the auth provider — we cannot read them.
Affiliate links — plainly disclosed
Some outbound links (flights, hotels) are affiliate links: if you book on the partner site, Farely may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never influences ranking — destinations are ranked by fit to your budget, never by commission. That is a product promise, not marketing copy.
Data sources
- Flights — cached real fares via the Aviasales (Travelpayouts) data API. Each fare is labelled with its freshness.
- Hotels — real Google Hotels prices (via SerpApi) where available, labelled Google Hotels prices; otherwise a clearly-labelled estimate.
- City photos — Wikimedia Commons and Unsplash.
- Destination facts — our own curated dataset (vibe scores, seasonality, typical daily cost).
Prices are estimates until you verify them on the partner site — we label every number with its source and age, and we never present a cached price as live.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data from the account page at any time. To export or inquire about your data, open an issue on our GitHub repository.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will say so on this page with a new date. The short version above will always hold: email, saved trips, alerts — nothing else.
